I am conducting a doctoral dissertation study at National University and would like to invite you to participate in this PAID study. The purpose of this research is to explore how small-business leaders adopt and use technology in their day-to-day operations. Your insights and experiences will provide valuable contributions to both research and practice. Study Purpose: The purpose of this basic qualitative study will be to examine the lack of technology usage by small business leaders in the United States. Research Activities Interview and Focus Group: Participants will be asked to complete the following research activities: 1-on-1 Interview: approximately 45–60 minutes Virtual Focus Group Discussion: approximately 60–75 minutes Incentive: Participants will receive $15 as appreciation for their time. Participants will be recruited online via LinkedIn, Respondent.io, and Facebook, and directed to a brief pre-screening questionnaire. Eligible individuals will be contacted by email to schedule a virtual session. At the start of the session, informed consent will be obtained verbally. Sessions will be conducted through secure video platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, or Meet), audio-recorded with consent, and used solely for transcription and analysis. Pseudonyms will be used to maintain confidentiality.
